Each Spring, Gift of Life hosts the Donor Dash in celebration of the life-saving power of organ and tissue donation and to honor the donors who make it possible.

More than 15,000 supporters from across the region and beyond gathered on Sunday, April 26 for the 29th Gift of Life Donor Dash — one of the nation’s largest Donate Life Month events that highlights the urgent need for more registered organ donors. Held annually at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, the Dash unites donor families, transplant recipients, patients waiting and supporters to spread the word that donors are heroes, reaching millions through community and media partnerships.

The Donor Dash has been our region’s premier event dedicated to the life-saving and transformative power of organ and tissue donation since 1996. The Dash includes a virtual option so anyone, anywhere can be part of this special event.
More than a quarter of a million people of all ages have taken part in the Donor Dash since its founding. The life-saving message of Dash reaches millions more each year through media and community participation. It all happens during National Donate Life Month to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation, register more donors, and pay tribute to those who gave the gift of life.
Proceeds from the Donor Dash benefit the Transplant Foundation, the charitable foundation that supports programs and activities for donor and recipient families. These include Team Philadelphia’s participation at the Transplant Games of America and Gift of Life Howie’s House.
