Volunteer Ambassadors
Gift of Life’s Ambassador Program fosters a community of transplant recipients, waitlist patients, donor families and advocates who support our life-saving mission.
- We have volunteer opportunities to fit any schedule, interest and comfort level.
- Introductory sessions are held virtually and in person.
- Programs and observances include National Donate Life Month, Gift of Life Donor Sabbath, National Minority Donor Awareness Month, outreach to schools, hospitals, DMVs and more.

Gift of Life Howie’s House
This “home away from home” for transplant families has many opportunities to help support our guests.
- Be a Home-Cook Hero as a brunch, baking or dinner volunteer.
- Become a shuttle driver and take guests to medical appointments.
- Help keep our pantry stocked by holding a Wish List drive.
- Honor your loved one by hosting a fundraiser such as a memorial walk, golf outing or virtual fundraiser in their name.
- Become a permanent part of The House by dedicating a paver in the Legacy Garden.

Donor Dash
Gift of Life’s largest celebration of the life-saving power of donation is held each April and includes a 10K run, 5K run and 3K walk. Transplant recipients, donor families and supporters join with family and friends to honor donor heroes, share the importance of donation, and inspire more people to sign up as donors. Team Philadelphia
Transplant recipients of all ages and abilities along with donor families and supporters are invited to join Gift of Life’s Team Philly for the Transplant Games of America. Recipients and living donors compete for medals in a variety of sports and activities, showcasing the success of transplantation. Visit teamphilly.org.
