This patch is in loving memory of my husband Carlos Ramirez Jr. who passed away suddenly on August 15, 2012 at the age of 35. I tried to replicate his favorite “blankey” and represent him the best I could. He was a little kid at heart and til the day he took his last breath, he would rub the silk edge of his fleece blanket and not even realize he was doing it.
He was a great man who would do anything for anyone and even in death he still managed to keep giving through the Gift of Life. It gives me and our family some comfort knowing that in some way he is still here with us.
