This quilt piece is for my dad.
The big, strong and courageous butterfly is my dad. My mom is the second biggest. My sister is the smaller yellow one. I am the littlest of all and I am red.
To me this means all of us trying to follow in his footsteps and that he is looking after us. The fabric is made out of a shirt he wore a lot. It makes us feel closer to him.
His name was David Michael Robinson that is why it says DMR in white. Everybody Loved him a lot and that is what is important. I think this small piece of fabric represents him well. That is why it is unique like him. I will know this special piece of fabric anywhere.
