Beginning at just 1 month old, Ariana began peritoneal dialysis at home as she waited for a life-saving transplant. She received the extraordinary gifts of a healthy kidney and liver at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Del. more than four years later.
Since then, Ariana has continued to grow and thrive. She marked the fifth anniversary of her double transplant this year. She enjoyed time with fellow transplant recipients and their siblings at Gift of Life’s Camp Jeremy this summer.
She proudly competed in the 2026 Transplant Games of America in Denver, Colo., as part of our Team Philadelphia.
This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate Ariana’s incredible journey and the gift of organ donation. It enabled a life-saving transplant and made her future possible.
