THE Party
Zoom+ Guests dance at THE Party.
On Friday, April 16, Donors Are Heroes hosted its eighth installment of THE Party, as part of Donate Life Month. It was an amazing night of great food, cocktails, and more than 300 guests held in the grand 19th floor of the Hyatt at the Bellevue.
Special thanks to all the amazing sponsors and attendees who helped make the event a complete success. More than $122,000 was raised to help fund clergy and youth education initiatives around organ and tissue donation!

Donors Are Heroes
Zoom+ Donors Are Heroes founders Don and Renee Freeman stand with Miss Philadelphia 2009 Ryann Richardson at THE Party last April.
While waiting for his life-saving heart transplant during the spring of 2000, Don Freeman and his wife Renee realized firsthand the need for and scarcity of organ donations. Since then, Don, Renee and a group of dedicated friends have committed themselves to raising public awareness of the importance of becoming an organ and tissue donor, to dispel myths and provide a means for people to share their donation wishes with family and friends. "Organ Donors Are Heroes, They Choose to Save Lives" is the group of friends/volunteers supporting Gift of Life and its charitable supporting organization, the Transplant Foundation.
Among the sponsored programs, the Donors Are Heroes have helped fund the It's About Life grants and several other programs with Gift of Life.
