New Transplant Recipients

Congratulations on receiving a life-saving transplant and welcome to the Gift of Life family! We encourage all transplant recipients, as well as their family and friends, to join us in our mission to promote organ and tissue donation awareness throughout our region.

Wrapped In Hugs

Gift of Life was inspired by the 2010 US Transplant Games, where all donor families present received a hand-knitted or crocheted wrap at the National Donor Recognition Ceremony. Gift of Life Donor Program would like to do the same at our local ceremonies, and we welcome volunteers to participate in creating wraps for a great cause.

Gift of Life Donor Dash

The Gift of Life Donor Dash has hosted tens of thousands of participants, commemorating countless donations and lives saved. For 22 spectacular years, teams and individuals have volunteered to run or walk with us to spread the word that donation saves lives.

Volunteers are the driving force behind Gift of Life Donor Program's community outreach and education efforts.

College Outreach

Gift of Life also works with area colleges to educate students about organ and tissue donation. Any college class, organization, or club is welcome to contact us, to offer an educational presentation or host a speaker at one of their events.

High School Education

Gift of Life Donor Program encourages high school teachers to become involved in sharing information on organ and tissue donation with their students. Here are some great suggestions for engaging students and providing them with the information necessary to make an informed decision about donation

National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed annually September 15 through October 15, commemorates and celebrates the contributions made by Latin Americans across the United States.

Gift of Life Family House

Thousands of patients come to Philadelphia hospitals every year needing life-saving organ transplants. Many come from out of state or travel great distances. Family House will provide critically needed support programs and temporary lodging for organ transplant patients and their families.

Delay = Death - Pass HB 30!

Pennsylvania elected officials have a deadly pattern. Since 2014, they’ve blocked 28 people from becoming organ donors – after those people or their families made clear they wanted to give the gift of life. Help us pass House Bill 30!

 

National Donor Sabbath
