Information for Funeral Directors
The role of funeral directors in the organ and tissue donation process is key. Directors talk directly to the family about funeral arrangements after donation occurs. They help to make sure that these families have a more positive funeral experience. In turn, this care assists families in their grieving process.
By informing funeral directors about the importance of donation and the details of the donation process, we hope to increase the bond between donor families, funeral directors, and Gift of Life.
Funeral directors can subscribe to the Clinical Update, Gift of Life's quarterly newsletter for funeral directors, healthcare professionals and coroners. This one-page newsletter offers transplantation and donation news, statistics and case studies. Subscribe to Clinical Update and other Gift of Life News.
