Candlelight Celebration for Donation
Time & Place
7-9 p.m.
The Franklin Institute, 222 N. 20th St.
To kick off National Donate Life Month in the Keystone State, Donate Life Pennsylvania is holding a very poignant event to highlight just how many people are waiting for their gift of life.
The second annual Candlelight Celebration for Donation will take place at the beginning of April in three locations throughout the state. At each location, nearly 800 people will gather just after dusk with candles, each representing 10 people on the waiting list in Pennsylvania. It will be a very powerfully visual way to show just a small percentage of those who need a life-saving transplant in the Commonwealth.
In addition to this event in Philadelphia, two other Celebrations will take place in Pittsburgh on April 8, and then in Harriburg on April 12.
To sign up and be a part of this event, visit the Donate Life Pennsylvania website.
