Gift of Life Donor Program's Multicultural Affairs Committee celebrates National Minority Donor Awareness Day with its 14th Annual FREE Gospel and Jazz Concert featuring Calvary Baptist Church Choir, winner of the "2009 How Sweet the Sound Tour," Enon Baptist Church Youth Choir, Bethany Missionary Baptist Church Footsteps of Praise Dance Ministry and the Philadelphia Clef Club Student Ensemble. FREE ADMISSION, FREE PARKING AVAILABLE and LIGHT REFRESHMENTS will be served.

6th Annual Ice Cream Social and Memory Box Workshop led by donor wife, Laurel Schwass-Drew

Enjoy a cool treat while making a personalized box in memory of your loved one. Boxes and decorating supplies will be provided. University of the Arts Professor and donor family member, Laurel Schwass-Drew will lead the group and encourage even the most artistically-challenged to create a one-of-a kind memory box.

Hearts of Gold meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Gift of Life Donor Program office.

This is a one day, highly interactive program that focuses on the role of critical care staff in utilizing and sharing best-demonstrated practices for referring potential organ donors to the organ procurement organization, providing support for families of potential organ donors, and maximizing clinical donor management.

Attendees will be given focused information to allow him or her to become a Donation Champion, one who role-models and shares key information to assist colleagues in carrying out these best practices in real time.

The Revelation Outreach Community Center will host its 4th Annual Community Day Celebration which will include health-related education including organ and tissue donation, and all day activities for seniors, children and youth and adults. The event is open to the public.

Learn about organ and tissue donation and transplantation at one of the free workshops during this event. Speakers from Gift of Life Donor Program will share their unique stories.

Chosen Assembly Church of Christ, Inc. will educate the community during a donation luncheon. This event will enable to community to learn about the importance of organ and tissue donation and transplantation and encourage people to maintain healthy lifestyles.

There is no cost to attend, but you bring your own food (and optionally something to share). A hot grill and ice will be provided. Talk to anyone who attended last year and you will hear how much fun it will be again this year. Bring the kids - games for both young and old are always fun.
