6th Annual Ice Cream Social and Memory Box Workshop led by donor wife, Laurel Schwass-Drew

Enjoy a cool treat while making a personalized box in memory of your loved one. Boxes and decorating supplies will be provided. University of the Arts Professor and donor family member, Laurel Schwass-Drew will lead the group and encourage even the most artistically-challenged to create a one-of-a kind memory box.

Hearts of Gold meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Gift of Life Donor Program office.

Donation Champion Learning Session (Allentown, PA)

This is a one day, highly interactive program that focuses on the role of critical care staff in utilizing and sharing best-demonstrated practices for referring potential organ donors to the organ procurement organization, providing support for families of potential organ donors, and maximizing clinical donor management.

Attendees will be given focused information to allow him or her to become a Donation Champion, one who role-models and shares key information to assist colleagues in carrying out these best practices in real time.

  • This program has been approved by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) for 6.5 Contact Hours, Synergy CERP Category B, File number 00015877.
  • This program has been approved for a maximum of 6.5 contact hours Continuing Respiratory Care Education (CRCE) credit by the American Association for Respiratory Care, 9425 N. MacArthur Blvd. Suite 100 Irving TX 75063, Course #202092006.

There is no cost to attend, but you bring your own food (and optionally something to share). A hot grill and ice will be provided. Talk to anyone who attended last year and you will hear how much fun it will be again this year. Bring the kids - games for both young and old are always fun.
