"Threads of Love" Donor Memorial Quilt: Quilt 29

Losing someone you dearly love and moving on without them is an extremely difficult thing to do. Although someone may be physically gone, it does not mean they are gone forever. I never thought my father would be taken at such a young age but I can say he lived a long life and enjoyed it to the fullest. The pain of losing someone is difficult to deal with, but we all have countless stories to share, along with the laughter, the love, and all the good times. There are stories that will be forever told, memories that will never be forgotten, and love that will live in our hearts forever. My mother always said, "Time heals," and it sure does, no matter what the length of time it is. Pain eases a little each day, and those sad thoughts of missing the person you love, are eventually replaced with the happy and loving memories forever. They say you are what you leave behind and what my father has left behind is a gift. He left a gift of memories and love to anyone he had an impact on, and for the individual that didn't know him; he left the gift of life.
