Team Leader, Transplant Information Center

This is an excellent opportunity for an OPO experienced professional who seeks continued challenge and growth as a leader of an organ donation, recovery and allocation team.

Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, is responsible for recovering and distributing organ and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OPO experienced professional who seeks continued challenge and growth as a leader of an organ donation, recovery and allocation team. You will provide direction to TIC staff by prioritizing, assigning, delegating, guiding and monitoring the performance and completion of work on each shift while interpreting and applying policy in conjunction with Administrator-on-Call or Director; You will be responsible for the kidney and pancreas allocation process from local donors, the allocation of all organs offered from outside our service area, and obtaining informed consent for corneal, cardiovascular, integument and musculoskeletal tissue donation; You will oversee the processing of patient records, check for required documentation, maintain patient medical records in organizational databases and conducts quality assurance reviews. You will completes the organizational requirements to the National Scientific Registry and perform the duties of In-House Coordinator.

Bachelor degree plus one year clinical OPO experience and one year of healthcare experience or Bachelor degree and three years of directly related healthcare experience.

or

Associate degree plus five years of health experience to include one year of clinical OPO experience.

Experience performing the responsibilities of the In-House Coordinator preferred.

Must also demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point, as well as relational report writer and DARTS. You must work seven 12.5 - hour shifts (am-pm & pm-am); every other weekend and holiday, and one 24-hour call day per bi-weekly pay period. You must be able to lift 25 pounds; able to work at computer station for extended time periods; ability to place /receive a high volume of phone calls.
