House Manager
Gift of Life Family House, the non-profit subsidiary of the Gift of Life Donor Program, has an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to handle the daily operations of the newly built Gift of Life Family House, a program that provides hotel & hospitality services to transplant recipients, families and guests.
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for the on-site management of volunteers and contracted staff/services, maintaining a safe, secure, comfortable and hospitable environment for families & guests, and coordinating on-site property management needs. You will supervise Volunteers, Interns and provide direction to part time housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure the safe, day-to-day operations of the Family House and ensure that adequate coverage is provided through staff and volunteers during all hours of operation. You will participate in shift change report-off with Evening House Manager, House Coordinator and/or Social Worker as applicable.
Bachelor's Degree and five years experience in hotel, hospitality, and customer relations or a service management related field is required. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, develop and carry out plans/goals, multi-task on several projects concurrently, prioritize daily activities and manage unexpected increases in workload.
Must possess excellent communication, organizational and creative thinking skills; ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations; display a professional demeanor and appearance; demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy; remain aware of internal and external client needs; act in a courteous, positive and responsive manner and willingly support a cooperative team effort. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office required.
