Job Description:

Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, is responsible for recovering and distributing organ and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants. The Gift of Lifevolunteer outreach program is designed to increase public awareness of and commitment to organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced educator to coordinate grass roots educational programs and special projects designed to increase public education and commitment to organ and tissue donations by increasing donor designations in Gift of Life's service region. Reporting to the Director of Community Relations, this individual serves as the primary contact and resource for regional, volunteer-based Coalitions and community-based initiatives supporting Gift of Life's mission.

You will develop strategies and programs aimed at increasing donor designations rates in Gift of Life's service area by creating, implementing and coordinating educational and outreach programs, while partnering with schools, colleges, corporations, civic and religious organizations. You will provides staff support for 3 volunteer Coalitions in the tri-state area by conducting volunteer training sessions for Satellite Volunteers in conjunction with Gift of Life's Volunteer Coordinator. You will represent Gift of Life at community speaking programs as necessary.

Bachelor's degree in education, communications, marketing, public health, or related field plus three years experience coordinating educational programs for a non- profit organization, special interest or cause. Must possess excellent organizational, writing, presentation and leadership skills, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work with community leaders and diverse groups of volunteers. An acceptable driving history, ability to travel throughout the region and stay overnight required.
