Gift of Life Donor Program and Hispanic Choice Awards Team Up for 2012 Award
Gift of Life Presents the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award at 9th Annual Hispanic Choice Awards
PHILADELPHIA, PA--The biggest Latino event of the tri-state area, the 9th Annual Hispanic Choice Awards (HCA), will be teaming up with the Gift of Life Donor Program to host a press conference on Tuesday, October 2 at 6pm at Gift of Life’s Offices at 401 N. 3rd Street in Philadelphia, PA. The conference will celebrate the vitality of the Latino community in Philadelphia and unveil exciting details about the upcoming Hispanic Choice Awards, which will be taking place October 16, 2012 at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
"We are so proud to have such an amazing line up of partners this year,” says HCA Executive Producer, Javier Suarez. “Gift of Life is an exceptional organization with a tremendous mission. We are honored to work with them to engage the Latino community." The 9th Annual Hispanic Choice Awards continues to strengthen its mission of highlighting the successes of Latino professionals and artists in the Greater Philadelphia region and is also partnering with the American Heart Association and CBS3 for this year’s event.
“Partnering with the Hispanic Choice Awards to present the Lifetime Achievement Award is very meaningful for Gift of Life,” says Gift of Life President and CEO Howard M. Nathan. “What one person is able to accomplish in a lifetime inspires us to remember the importance of life itself: Every day at Gift of Life, we work hard to provide second chances for the more than 6,500 men, women and children in our region who are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. Partnering with HCA for this award reminds viewers not to take lifetime achievements for granted, and encourages them to help bring hope to those waiting by registering as an organ donor.”
This high-profile awards event, presented by State Farm Insurance, is expected to draw more than 1,500 attendees and includes a VIP Reception, televised Red Carpet entrance and an awards show that features local leaders and national celebrities.
