Richard D. Hasz, Vice President of Clinical Services
Richard D. Hasz joined Gift of Life in 1993. As Vice President of Clinical Services, he oversees transplant coordination, hospital development, organ preservation, quality assurance and tissue recovery. Mr. Hasz has served on numerous national leadership committees, including the United Network for Organ Sharing, the UNOS Data Advisory Committee and the Information Technology Advisory Committee. He is also the current Co-Chair of the Donor Intervention Research Consensus Conference. He is a member of the North American Transplant Coordinator’s Organization, the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, The American Association of Tissue Banks and has served on the Executive Committee for the Association for Organ Procurement Organizations. He has also earned the Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) and Certified Transplant Preservationist (CTP) certifications. He has delivered lectures and educational sessions for over 60 organizations and professional societies in the U.S. and internationally, and contributed to over 30 publications in peer reviewed journals. Rick obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree in Forensic Science from George Washington University.
