Scott Demczyszyn, Director of Transplant Coordinator Services
Scott Demczyszyn has been with Gift of Life for 18 years, where he began his career as a regional Transplant Coordinator. Currently, Scott is the Director of Transplant Coordinator Services. He has worked in multiple roles including Transplant Coordinator Specialist, Supervisor, Assistant Director and his current role as Director since 2004. He is the Chair of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) Standard and Accreditation committee and is an Accreditation site surveyor for AOPO since 2008. He previously served on the UNOS Transplant Coordinators Committee, is a member of NATCO since 1997 and has presented abstracts and the top case study at the NATCO annual meeting in Orlando, FL in 2000. He participated in the US Transplant Games in 2002, and has represented Gift of Life by speaking at multiple AOPO annual meetings, the National Collaborative and Community of Practice meetings and the national Donor Ceremony in Washington, DC. He has also presented internationally at the TPM European Transplant Coordinators conference in Prague, Czech Republic.
