Human Resource Generalist

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Human Resource Assistant/Coordinator eager to partner with hiring managers in collaborative staffing and HR programming aimed at promoting the Gift of Life Donor Program core values and achieving the organizational mission.

Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, is responsible for recovering and distributing organ and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Human Resource Assistant/Coordinator eager to partner with hiring managers in collaborative staffing and HR programming aimed at promoting the Gift of Life Donor Program core values and achieving the organizational mission.

As Human Resource Generalist you will:

  • Initiate and coordinate the full cycle recruitment and selection process; Effectively recruit, screen and select staff
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and pre-employment HR processing requirements
  • Coordinate on-boarding and the initial day HR processing of new hires
  • Maintain employment process records and metrics
  • Enter new hires, merit increases, promotions in the HRIS and maintain the HRIS home page
  • Coordinate a variety of employee relations, activity and recognition programs
  • Compile and maintain computerized and manual employee and HR records
  • Support and participate in other HR programs
  • Create and develop correspondence & forms, records and visual presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point software

Successful candidates will possess:

  • a Bachelor degree or equivalent plus 3 or more years of related experience
  • a working knowledge of employment law ADA, FMLA, and EEO
  • excellent communication and computer skills including Microsoft Office and HRIS

To succeed in this role you must be able to learn and utilize existing systems and work processes, organize and coordinate multiple projects and calendars, demonstrate critical thinking, exercise good judgment, engage in collaborative dialogue and work independently.
