The receptionist answers incoming calls, directs calls to appropriate staff, oversees mail distribution, requisitions and stocks front desk supplies and provides general office support assisting others with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Receptionist properly opens and operates the switchboard promptly at 8:00 a.m., ensures uninterrupted service throughout the day and properly closes the switchboard at the end of the day. The Receptionist develops and distributes the monthly front desk relief coverage schedule on a timely basis.
